Caption: "To the right, Paul Smith's Hotel 'electric car' - Copy of a photo taken at the Lake Clear Depot. Dated 1900. This was a transfer point from Engine 2004 and train from Utica, NY. Transfers were made to the 942 Engine and train headed for Lake Placid-Saranac Lake, as well as transfers to the Paul Smith's Electric Rail and Baggage Car - to Paul Smith's resort Hotel and later Paul Smith's College students would use taxi and private car service to campus from the junction. The 2004 engine and train would continue on to Montreal, Canada."
